Vw polo 2014 coolant problem

Hi all, so a few days ago I was hammering my car in 3rd to help clear my exhaust when suddenly my car told me to check the coolant. I got home and the reservoir was pretty much empty. There was a huge puddle on the floor so I didn’t panic & assumed it forced it way out whilst I was putting the engine under stress.

Then today I was driving normally down the motorway & again popped up saying low coolant so I pulled over & the reservoir was again basically empty. Only difference is this time there was no puddle…. I have no clue why this keeps happening.

I did start to panic thinking my head gasket was on its way out however it’s showing no symptoms other than the coolant mysteriously disappearing.

Anyone got any ideas? Could this be a water pump issue as the cars on 83K and it’s never been changed I had an Audi with a similar engine that had the same issue only the Audi left a huge puddle.
