Thoughts
Been looking at a few payment setups recently and I genuinely can’t believe how little some businesses know about what they’re actually paying.
Ask what their rate is and it’s usually 2.9% + 30p
Yeah, but that’s not really what you’re paying, is it 😂
Once you dig into the whole thing, there’s usually a load of other stuff sitting behind it.
And then there’s the other side of it.
Had a business recently that needed split payments and just assumed their current processor couldn’t do it, so they’d built their whole setup around that limitation.
Turns out they had options.
This is basically what we’ve been doing at ChosePayments, looking at what a business actually needs, what they’re currently paying, and whether there’s a better way of doing it.
We’ve put a bit more about it here if anyone’s interested: chosepayments.com
What everyone else is paying for processing though. Do you actually know your all-in rate?
