SMS Notifications not showing up on R2 Display/Audio

Picked up my R2 last week and SMS texts aren’t showing on the center screen (I understand iMessage/WhatsApp aren’t supported, which is another concern, but SMS should work per Rivian).

Already tried: rebooting, forgetting/re-pairing the phone on both ends, confirming notification permissions on my phone. No luck.

Online support couldn’t fix it after hours on the phone and now want me to drive to a service center (90 min round trip) — hoping to avoid that if anyone’s found a workaround.

Anyone had this issue and fixed it? What worked?
