Popular Tween and Teen Programs

Hi, I am the Chairman of our Library Board of Trustees in a small town. We have wonderful staff and a tiny program budget. There have been complaints that we offer too many early childhood programs and not enough tween and teen ones. Historically, teens don’t attend things we have offered. I know they have sports, drama, and other commitments after school, as well as school libraries and clubs.

Can you please suggest any low cost programs that would draw them in? Also, what time and days do you get your best enrollments? So far, our best program for these ages has been an ongoing chess group.
