using menstrual blood in spell work?

sorry if this is tmi!! i’ve never used my own menstrual blood in any spell work, but i am currently on my cycle and was wondering if it would be a good idea to use that for a release spell for the new moon? 

i only get my period every 4 months because of birth control, and i just got it yesterday. i think it would be cool to utilize that, but again, i’ve never done it so i’m not sure how to go about it. any advice or insight is appreciated :)!
