Passion of the Christ

Did many people here go and see the Passion of the Christ when it came out?

My husband and I (atheists) were invited to go by my christian brother and sister in law and, for curiousity mainly, we said yes.

Honestly it was like we watched two different movies. I'm not sure if their intentions were to somehow convert us as we'd be so moved by the story, but I have to say it did *not* have that effect.

We weren't rude when discussing it after, probably a bit blunt though, so I'm sure they found that disappointing.

Did anyone else have a similar experience?
