“Burj Khalifa Under The Pacific Ocean”
“Come on it’s not that deep, stop over-reacting” OH WOW NO WONDER HOW—
Our problems are as deep as the Pacific Ocean, deep enough to submerge Burj Khalifa
And here you are shrugging your shoulders, thinking it's a pond or a surface water
Like all you say is we’re fine floating at sea-level while your Dubai mega-structure is sinking?
Each day we strive, but still we drown in our problems like there was a lock in the front door
But instead of rescuing us up to the coastline, all you do is push us deeper to the ocean floor
Where all your statements starts with “If I were you” with a flair disappointment and pity
As if they would manage to live up to this day, if they got in our shoes starting on first day
The worse case, you only knew our reflection on the surface of the sea
Then you had it considered shallow like we’re a noobie
Not thinking you’ve only lived on the Burj Khalifa’s Balcony, adoring Dubai City’s beauty
Unlike unlucky souls like me crushed by deep sea pressure with no escape like you’re tangled in tentacles
So why are you confident that you understand what’s underneath?
Like, have you ever tried living in the deep abyss? Dark, Silent, and enormously deep
Filled with tight ridges and making your mind feel creeped
For a thought so deep it’s like an ocean eating that building’s ground to tip
You’d even stare at me in disgust as you say “Forget about it”, “It’s not that serious”, or “It’s just a joke.”
As if I was the one who did wrong in the first place, and now you’re staring at me like my reaction is invalid?
Y’all even judged us at first day like you know how saline the sea is
Without even collecting an average of quantitative sea samples Pacific Ocean consists
“So you’re saying we don’t understand you??”—Well you didn’t tried to
“You’re just being sensitive”—Because this is what you made me to feel from Day 1 or 2
So no, sensitivity is valid, it’s just the community who accepted and normalized it
Because in the end, IT IS THAT DEEP
