Thoughts on limited sexual intercourse?

I do follow the Christian faith and I see intercourse as something that can be part of a healthy relationship for intimacy, connection and mutual pleasure. It doesn’t necessarily mean you’re trying to have a baby. You can have sex because you’re attracted to each other and enjoy being intimate, while actively preventing pregnancy if you don’t want children

But there a guy I met and his stance was that he sees intercourse as intended for procreation so when he has a wife he doesn’t intend for intercourse unless both are planning for a baby
