[FOR HIRE] Solo growth engineer, I build websites, booking systems & retention automation for local businesses | Remote | from $20/hr.

Discussion

I'm a solo growth engineer available for freelance work. I handle the technical side of getting and keeping customers, I find where a local business loses people, before and after the first visit, and I build the fix myself. Working site, booking flow, or automation, not just advice.

So you can see how I think before spending anything, here are the leaks I run into most often in local businesses:

  1. Phone tag (acquisition) - a lead calls or fills a form, doesn't get an instant reply, and books with whoever answers first. An auto-response that texts back a booking link within 60 seconds catches the ones you'd otherwise lose.
  2. Invisible online (acquisition) - a slow or outdated site, a half-filled Google Business Profile, or booking that takes more than two taps. Most local buyers decide from their phone in under a minute, so friction loses them.
  3. One-and-done (retention) - the expensive one. A customer gets served well, then hears nothing: no follow-up, no reason to return, no review request. Bringing an old customer back costs far less than finding a new one, and most local shops have no system for it.

Things I've built and can build for a freelance gig:

  • Fast, mobile-first sites and landing pages that turn visitors into calls and bookings
  • Online booking and instant lead-response setups
  • Automated follow-ups, win-back messages, and repeat-visit reminders to bring past customers back
  • Review-request flows that raise a Google rating (which then pulls in more leads)
  • Loyalty and referral automations
  • No-show and appointment reminders that protect already-booked revenue
  • AI automations (Claude API, scraping, data pipelines) to cut the manual admin behind all of the above

If you hire me you can expect a clear diagnosis of where customers slip away, before booking and after the first visit, at least one working fix I've actually shipped, a faster path from "found you online" to "booked," a way to pull past customers back, and a ranked list of what I'd do next.

Rates: $20/hr, or fixed-price per project. I'm happy to start with a small scoped piece so you can see my work before committing to more. Remote.

Reply by PM with your business and the problem you're trying to solve, and I'll get back to you.
