I bought all the parts for my new PC at the end of last week and the whole idea was to make a completely black Jonsbo D33 build with basically no RGB.

I somehow didn't think much about the RAM when I bought it. It's all black, but it has a white lightbar on top for the RGB.

I haven't received all the parts yet, so I generated an image just to get an idea of how everything would look together inside the case. Seeing the RAM there made me start questioning my choice lol. I feel like that lightbar might stand out more than I expected and kind of ruin the completely black look I was going for.

The problem is I got this RAM on a pretty good sale. It's a Kingston Fury Beast 32GB kit (2x16GB), DDR5 6400 CL32. If I return it and get the non-RGB version, I'd have to spend around $50 more for a 6000 CL30 kit.

I can still return it, but paying $50 more just to get rid of the lightbar feels kind of stupid, especially when the RAM I already have is slightly better than the other model I'd get.

I also thought about just modding it somehow. Maybe putting some black tape over the lightbar or finding some kind of black cover for it, if something like that even exists. I'm just not sure if tape is a good idea because of the heat, or if the adhesive could leave a bunch of residue and become a pain to clean later.

So... am I overthinking this way too much and I'm probably not even going to notice the RAM after a few weeks?

Or are some of you just as picky with your builds and would actually return it to keep the whole thing completely black?

Am I overreacting or being dumb? RGB RAM in an all-black Jonsbo D33 build
