Big transitions - feeling anxious

Toddler 1-3 years

For context, I've worked remotely full-time since having my daughter and have had her home with me. My company has let it go since my workload is not meeting heavy and it's worked really well for us. Not looking for advice on that part. What I am looking for advice on is transitioning her to 3K. She's the only child in her classroom that isn't a daycare kid. And we have another on the way due next month. I can't have both at home while working as that would be too difficult to juggle while giving each child the attention they deserve while keeping my work up.

We had a tour of the early learning center a week or two ago and had a parents night for orientation last night. I don't feel amazing about the teacher she'll have - she was retired then came out of retirement for this position. It's a private center and I feel good about the facility overall, but I'm worried this grandma of a teacher is just too old school. She gave off happy grandma vibes but I also had no time to ask questions or be heard. I've emailed the place with my questions, but is it worth requesting the other teacher I know well vs this new, older teacher? My daughter didn't seem anxious about it, but from our limited experiences with church child watch I know it'll be tough for all of us to get used to.

I guess I'm looking for reassurance that this transition period of me and her vs the world to changes of school and growing our family will be okay or ways to better cope. I think the pregnancy hormones are not assisting in the matter and I'm pretty emotional about all of it. I wish there was a world in which we could make sahm work financially, but it's just not possible at this time. For additional context, we also have my 2 step kids halftime that are already in middle school. So they're older and well into the school system. Which maybe has helped our daughter see what it's like for kids to go to school vs being the oldest with no idea of how that aspect of life works. Thanks for reading!
