Best investment platform for accumulating saving

Hi everyone,

Recently moved from Canada, settled into a new job, and ready to rebuild my savings and investments here.

I want to set up automated, fortnightly contributions from my paycheck directly into ETFs. Here is what I am looking for:
Low Fees: Is BetaShares (like Direct) the best/cheapest option for this?
Liquidity: I want to buy/sell anytime without needing a financial adviser.

In Canada, we used Wealthsimple for this. What is the popular go-to alternative over here?

Also, just to confirm, am I right in thinking Australia has no equivalent to the Canadian TFSA (Tax-Free Savings Account) for regular investing outside of Super?
