How do you guys balance wearing a silver chain without it completely overpowering the rest of your outfit?

I want to step up my accessory game and add a silver chain to my daily fits, but I don’t want to look like I’m trying too hard or wearing a costume. How do you guys find the right balance so the chain complements a casual streetwear look instead of distracting from it?
