Omnipod/dexcom site options

Hi I (37 f) have type 2, I have brought my a1c down from 8.5 to 5.5 since april, i was taking mounjaro i have taken last dose today, down 30 pounds (yay!) And blood sugars well controlled with Lantus and Mounjaro. However i am about to get training on a pump since I stopped the mounjaro to ttc, the lantus alone wasnt controlling my crazy bloodsugars and honestly I am about to have to do a lot of daily injections so I just dont want more injections. What is the best placement for the dexcom g7 15 day and omnipod? Do you use a cover for the omnipod, one with the strap or without? I do feel that I need the extra protection as I have a 4 year old and try to be active and also...clumsy. i use an over patch the fully covers my dexcom, just not sure if I need to do thst for my omnipod 5. I start on that on the 21st so I have time to order something to be in before I have my training. Do they also need to be on the same side?
