Terrifying nightmare this morning and I need an interpretation. I’m a little frightened.
WARNING: This is a long explanation so I’m sorry if it was a pain to read through. I also apologize for any run on sentences and my grammer.
It felt like my friends and I were in PVP game, like pubg or Fortnite, ya know a battle royal type fighting game. But we KNEW it was a game, so it didn’t feel like much was at stake and if we died we would respawn. We were running through a building and eventually we all got captured. Our captures took us to the water edge of a swamp, and had us tied up. They were about to execute us in a firing line when one of the captures looked up and yelled “GET DOWN.” Our binds were off and the captures were running, leaving all of their gear and vehicles behind. Now it didn’t feel like a game anymore.
It was daytime during all this btw. I turned around to see in the distance of the swamp a highway exit ramp, a huge amount of cars backed up trying to get off of it, and a flood of people screaming and running. I then saw a white pick up truck, engulfed in flame and glowing from the heat speed through the cars, a woman screamed “I CAN’T STOP.” and then it blew up. I heard the woman screaming from the car and then it fizzled out. People began to cry and wale, the car wreck happened closer to us so people gathered around us to inspect the scene. There was nothing just ash and a LOT of blood. It didn’t feel like a game anymore in this moment.
There was a group of children staring and they began to cry, I ran over to comfort them and told them to look away. My father was also there, he began to weep and lemme state he IS NOT a man to cry. Mind you; I’ve only ever see him cry once in my life, and it was because of an unexpected death of a family member YEARS ago. I went to comfort my father and held him in my arms trying to reassure him it was alright.
It was nightfall in almost an instant, we were all still in this swamp shore next to this bog. Then down a trail in the swamp there was a small group of people with lanterns walking towards us. At the head of the group was a tall pale-ish looking man, with green facepaint, cargo shorts and a vest but he had obviously tried camouflaging with foliage and moss draped around his entire person. He held up a VHS tape and told us we had to “witness what has transpired.”
A projector was suddenly above the swamp and the VHS began to play. The image showed a BIG city bridge, kinda like the Golden Gate Bridge but ofc it wasn’t that. It was an overview shot of the bridge, it flickered again and showed the woman that died and a lady cop standing next to her. They were talking and the woman (we’ll call her the blonde cause she was blonde) was laying on an old mattress in the middle of the road leading up to the bridge. The lady cop was talking to her, it was mumbling at first and then it became clear. She said something along the lines of like “yeah just do it screw it, you deserve it ya know.” The blonde got up off the mattress and picked up a cardboard box, she dumped the contents of the box onto the mattress. It looked like clothes, toys, pictures, just general personal belongings. The blonde then poured gasoline all over everything, the cop cheered her on, and when the blonde dropped a match on it all she too caught on fire. Everyone in the audience began to cry, I held my father tight because I was scared. I am a full grown adult, have been for a hot minute, but in that moment I did feel like a child.
We watched in horror as the blonde’s skin began to melt, the children in the crowd began to scream and they held onto me. Her skin began peeling off into piles, I remember the skin vividly plopping onto the ground and the disgusting look of if. There was blood everywhere and the scream she put out was terrifying, like nothing I ever heard before. I was so terrified I woke up.
I do not know how she got into a truck or any of that, but I know dreams don’t really “explain” or “connect everything” perfectly. Because that’s just what happens, sometimes you wake up. Either naturally or by force. Is this just a wild wacko dream that means nothing? Or is there something to interpret from this. I know some people don’t believe dreams have any meaning at all, while others spend a lot of time interpreting them.
I’ve always been wary of dreams, as my grandmother is from the “hill country” side of America and she would always warn us or congratulate us based on premonitions she’d have in the night. Why it scares me so much is that most of the time she had been right. Not saying we’re all knowing “soothsayers.” But just that paranormal things, paranoia, and “intuition” is very prominent on that side of the family.
