About a week late for Inigo's birthday I know, but in fairness, I did post this originally on the actual date!! Just had to sort out the HTML to make a working Table of Contents (should work perfectly now!)

I started this writeup back in May this year after constantly noticing that Inigo as a character very often seems to get left out of "queer FE character" lists and discussions...unless it's to offhandedly mention the "I WANT TO BE MANHANDLED!!" quote. As a massive fan of this character I know there's *way* more to them and their queerness than just that, so I felt compelled to research and break down everything I was able to find in Awakening's text pertaining to Inigo as a subtextually queer character!

Especially on the front of Inigo's gender being a queer one, there is a *lot* more in the actual text than I think most people would expect. But that being said, while my analysis does get into a transfem reading of Inigo particularly, the overall goal of writing it was mostly to just prove that Inigo is a queer FE character in general, not to push a specific reading. Like the title implies: I want more people to talk about Inigo!!!!!

So I hope anyone who reads this enjoys and/or finds my breakdown and analysis of Inigo's character useful/insightful! With any luck, I hope I might convince more people to seriously consider this character within the series' queer history.

(Also, feel free to leave a comment on Ao3 or on this post if there's any sources I've missed, if the html breaks (it shouldn't!), any other major errors I've made etc etc. I edited a good chunk of this while sick from a stomach bug so there's always a chance there's stuff I missed!)

Happy (late) birthday Inigo!!!! I wrote a 30k+ word character analysis on why they should be considered a "canonically" queer Fire Emblem character.
