Confused

Does he look at me because he knows I like him or he likes me back too.

Today I saw him standing infront of my class and when he saw me he left. Later during lunch break I was laughing and looked outside (out of habit) and saw him laughing and looking at me. Then again during the end of the day I made eye contact with him . I don't know how frequently he looks at me because I'm scared to look at him. When he is a bit afar 90% of the time he would catch me looking at him and when he is closer he would ignore me. Im so done.

He likes someone and i know who (that person is not interested in him) but i still have hope deep somewhere and i don't know why.
