π§ Cauldron β Open-source torrent & debrid Stremio addon (v0.0.5)
I've been building Cauldron, an open-source torrent aggregation engine and Stremio addon, and I've just released v0.0.5.
The idea is pretty simple: aggregate results from multiple torrent sources, validate them against the actual movie/show being requested, optionally check cache status, and resolve them through your debrid provider.
What it currently supports
- π΄ββ οΈ The Pirate Bay
- π 1337x
- π Nyaa
- π¬ YTS
- πΊ EZTV
- π Bitsearch
- β‘ Torrin search
- π§ Zilean (optional/self-hosted)

Some of the recent work
v0.0.5 includes quite a few changes under the hood:
- Much stricter movie/series title matching
- Season/episode validation
- Result deduplication by info hash
- Seed-based duplicate selection
- Configurable result ranking
- Cache-aware sorting
- Torrin integration
- Optional Zilean integration
- Concurrent searching across sources
- Redis caching with in-memory fallback
- Stremio addon + REST API
- Docker/Compose deployment
One of the things I was particularly trying to solve was bad torrent matches. Public indexes can return some hilariously unrelated results when searching short/common titles, so Cauldron now performs an additional validation pass before results reach Stremio.

You can install it directly in Stremio using the instance's generated configuration URL.

It's still very much a work in progress, so bug reports, suggestions, and especially testing/feedback are welcome.
If you run into something weird, let me know what you searched for and what Cauldron returned β I'm actively working on improving the filtering and ranking.

EDIT**** I want to emphasize that this a work in progress, is a brand new addon, and you WILL encounter bugs. Please let if you encounter any bugs :)
