Currently pregnant and can’t get into the OB in Bangor for 3-4 weeks

I’m currently 8 weeks pregnant with my first. I live right outside of Bangor and the only option for an OB-GYN is NL.

I totally understand their situation as Downeast closed last month and there’s only 6 physicians, 2-3 NP’s and 2 midwife’s but STILL this is kind of frustrating!!

I called NL OB this morning after reaching out last week and asked to be put on the books. the receptionist rudely explained the providers will reach out in 3-4 weeks…what the actual hell???

I know I’m an emotional hot mess and I might be jumping the gun but WOW.. are there other women in the Penobscot county area going through the same thing? Like I get there are limited OB’s but still, this is pretty ridiculous. I might as well set up an appointment in Augusta just to make sure things are going well.

(Husband & I have been trying for over a year to conceive — My HCG is at 30,300 but still I’m worried haha)
