Looking for tips to deal with involuntary brain links to things I dislike.
I'm looking for advice based on how memory and the brain work.
I really dislike Character A from a certain series.
When a character in a completely different work shares the same facial features—like having the same shape of mouth or hairstyle—as Character A, my brain automatically links them and brings Character A to mind.
I have no desire to be reminded of a character I hate, so I want to put a stop to this.
But since it's an involuntary reaction, I can't seem to control it...
What do you think I should do? I'd appreciate some tips on how to handle these thoughts or effectively let them flow past without getting stuck on them.
