Need help deciphering CarFax history with total loss event on a clean title

Hi all, I am planning on taking a look at an 89 Trans Am for sale. I ran a CarFax report on the car and found that it has a total loss event back in 2010. However, the title status is still shown as clean and not salvage.

After this event, there is a passed emissions inspection entry in Cali on 3/2/10, then a vehicle purchase on 7/10/26 in Utah. The car was listed on marketplace about a month ago but ended on 7/3 with the seller saying he was going to "take it to auction". Now he still has it and is trying to sell again.

Also worth noting, in some of the pictures on the listing the car has a Utah license plate that comes back to a 2004 Dodge Ram?

Does anyone know what's going on? Any insight or explanations would be appreciated :)
