Brown discharge 2 week before my periods,is this normal?

Hry ladies, I'm 24F, and I've been having brown discharge for the last 5 days. I used to have white discharge before, but this time, it's brown spotting, and I'm hell scared. I've always had regular periods before, i did have briwn discharge, but usually a day before or after my periods, but the fact that this is continuing for the last 5 days is concerning.

Chatgpt says it's just old blood coming out.

I have been intimate with my ex once, although that was back in October 2025. It was the first time, and we broke up after that, since it was a terrible breakup I went through irregular periods for 3 months(but never missed a cycle) but it was all fine again since January 2026. This is very much traumatizing for me, and ideally, I should be getting my normal periods around 18th august as I generally have a 28-30 days cycle.

Ladies, is this normal? Did any of you have any experience regarding this?
