Your best time

Hi, just wanted to make sure, because I received (what I suppose) incorrect information. Am I right that it is possible to update "Your Best Time" from a half marathon? Especially if it's faster than your equivalent time for a full marathon? The system allows you to do it, but I got a message yesterday that only full marathon times are taken into account.
