6th graded hates school

Advice needed. My 12 yo hates school. Comes home after and is on her tablet. I know I need to severely reduce the use but not sure how to get her interested in school / reading / etc. After work, I struggle with energy to keep her entertained. Here’s what I’ve done so far: setting limits on electronics per night; stated has to get involved in after school activities. Not sure what else to do. Appreciate advice.

Additional background - smart kid, relatively happy family / we all spend time together regularly. Urban living - she walks to school.
