I signed up for (in-person) PROMPT, and I’m starting to regret it.
It was so expensive, bro, and my employer wouldn’t cover it. They did say they’ll pay me for the day, but it still hurt to see that chunk of cash come out of my account. I opened up the intro training modules, and while I had some of an idea of how PROMPT worked, I’m getting more uncomfortable. I have some CAS kids on my caseload, and I bit the bullet to get the training because I truly felt like I was doing them a disservice by not having any formal apraxia centered training than whatever I got in grad school classes 5+ years ago. I had delved into the free DTTC training online, but then I got in my head about just taking the easy way out. Well, I’m already in this pickle, so I’ll just have to lay in the bed I’ve made. I’ll take what I like from PROMPT, and supplement in whatever I think is beneficial for each individual client as I work with them. Thanks for listening to my panic. Does anyone have any regrets or any positive feedback after having gone through PROMPT?
