90's scifi kids show

Hoping someone can jog my memory, there was a TV show I watched in school in the 90's. I csnt remember the name, but it featured kids being transported to different worlds by a transportation machine that looked like.a bunch of lights lowering from the ceiling and flashing over them.

It would have been available on video casset in '97
