Would this be flying too close to the sun?

J1 is for a large well known SaaS company.

Just got a J3 offer for a company that is a client of J1. It would be a contract position so not technically employed by J1’s client. Pay is about 1.5x J1, fully remote.

I would basically be consulting them on how to best use the software they purchased from J1. I wouldn’t have crossover with J1. I would start after they finish implementing the new software.

I really don’t want to leave J1 because I do actually enjoy it.

Obviously there’s still a bit of a concern. Would this be worth it? My OE goal is simply to get debt free
