A barbarian rage doesn't have to be triggered by combat. Emotional damage can do the job.

What's going on here?

* Sassy, the Maid of Honour at this wedding, is a [little afraid of the mother of the bride](https://www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/love-and-hex/always-a-bridesmaid/viewer?title_no=695601&episode_no=167&readingLanguageCode=en). She's also pretty lonely, and has not had much luck with [dating](https://www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/feral-comics/goblins-first-date/viewer?title_no=770146&episode_no=1&readingLanguageCode=en).
* This added pressure, on top of Sassy's [thwarted attempts](https://www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/love-and-hex/first-impressions/viewer?title_no=695601&episode_no=169&readingLanguageCode=en) at [romance](https://www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/love-and-hex/being-bad/viewer?title_no=695601&episode_no=175&readingLanguageCode=en), has pushed her over the edge.
* Meanwhile, the bride, "Kayra", has been struggling to [tell her betrothed](https://www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/love-and-hex/confession/viewer?title_no=695601&episode_no=152&readingLanguageCode=en) that she's not actually a human woman, but a changeling made of mud and sticks enchanted to look like the human she had [replaced as a baby](https://www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/love-and-hex/changeling/viewer?title_no=695601&episode_no=110). Her [mother](https://www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/love-and-hex/pre-wedding-jitters/viewer?title_no=695601&episode_no=158&readingLanguageCode=en) has been [getting in the way](https://www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/love-and-hex/getting-ready/viewer?title_no=695601&episode_no=178&readingLanguageCode=en), and now it's pretty much too late...
* Many of those humans in the crowd are [hags in disguise](https://www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/love-and-hex/blending-in/viewer?title_no=695601&episode_no=164&readingLanguageCode=en), including Granny Dismal, who [created changeling-Kayra](https://www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/love-and-hex/retail-therapy-part-2/viewer?title_no=695601&episode_no=136&readingLanguageCode=en). They're there for... moral support, maybe? Or just to see what happens?

Love and Hex started out as a joke about my D&D campaign and turned into an ongoing rom-com/existential horror story. It's on [Webtoon](https://www.webtoons.com/en/challenge/love-and-hex/list?title_no=695601), crookedgoat.ca, and other platforms (just search the title). There's also a book if you search for it.
