Partner likes really tight grasp on shaft, but doesnt like head?

With this information, where partner likes a really tight grasp on the lower end of the shaft, how should i give him head if it seems he doesnt want me doing that? He said his head is too sensitive? So then if he likes a tight grasp by the hand how should i give him head?
