Test Run Before Honour Mode

Hi all. I have a lot less hours than most people here I'm sure, just under 200 hours and haven't played recently. Decided to give Honour Mode a go with a wood half elf Paladin and to multi class with Sorcerer. Got to the Druids Grove and did a few bits and realized I'm definitely rusty/unprepared for an honour mode run.

I'm going to do a tactician run but wondering should I do same set up as I was doing Honour Mode, Sorcadin, as a test run to know what works regarding order I do things, equipment etc or should I play as a different class? One of gloomstalker assassin, storm sorcerer or a bard build.

I originally completed the game as battle master fighter as I like to boink things.
