Ethics Point Complaint [CA]

Hey everyone, I have a serious question. Does your HR department take ethics hotline anonymous or non-anonymous complaints seriously? The reason I ask is because where I work they don’t really take them seriously & I’ve seen a few complaints where I believe they could turn into lawsuits or EEOC complaint or even bigger reports to regulatory agencies what is everyone else’s experience?

Also, I want to add that in my experience I have seen When complaints get dismissed or not taken seriously or investigated. Typically it escalates and turn into bigger problems ….. for context, I work in healthcare so without saying too much I worked in the hospital where complaints were made through this portal and they ignored them, and then it turned into the Department of Health consistently coming out to inspect us for a year. It’s low key exhausting & is it like this everywhere ?
