Does Weird Route Affect All Saves?

Is it true that doing the weird route on one save permanently alter the ending or something else in all other saves?

I've currently started the weird route from chapter 2 in the second save slot after having a normal pacifist save in the first slot and I've read somewhere that completing the weird route in chapter 5 will permanently ruin all other saves and change something and that's really frustrating especially if I want to get the most out of the game and see all perspectives. For context (if needed,) I play Deltarune on ps4 so I can't go in the files and check it myself or edit the game at all. Sorry if this question had been asked before but If someone would (politely) let me know of a way to make sure weird route won't affect my other saves or if this is a myth or not that would be great, Thanks.
