Imagine an open-world Miraculous game where you can rewrite the show and make a custom hero

:chatlove: Fluff

Hey everyone, I’ve been brainstorming a concept for a massive open-world Miraculous game and wanted to share it here to see what you all think.

Basically, the idea is that you aren't locked into playing just Ladybug or Cat Noir (or any of the other Miraculers). You can create your own custom character or pick a canon character. If you pick a Miraculous that someone in the show already has, you just take their place in the story, and the original holder becomes a normal civilian.

Here are the main mechanics I thought up to make it feel super deep:

  1. You get a natural superpower + an Identity System
  2. Even before you get a Miraculous, your character gets one natural power (you get to choose what it is, or if you even get one). For example, Mind Reading. But it doesn't just read thoughts—it lets you uncover secrets. If you look at a character, it populates a "Secrets Page." If they are transformed, you find out their civilian name, and vice versa. It would be amazing for a blind playthrough if you don't know the show, but even if you do, it adds a cool detective layer.
  3. The Outfits adapt to how you play
  4. In the lore, your hero outfit matches your personality. In this game, your civilian choices and actions shape your personality profile. When Master Fu finally gives you your Miraculous, your outfit automatically generates based on how you acted as a civilian! To avoid weird AI looking suits, the game would use a bunch of really high-quality preset designs. And if you don't like it or change your alignment, you can manually override it (kind of like Claw Noir/Shadybug style).
  5. The 5-Minute Timer and Adult Powers
  6. Since you start as a teen, you have the canonical 5-minute de-transformation timer as soon as you use your special move. To stay transformed, you have to explore Paris and find your Kwami's specific favorite food (Macarons for Tikki, Camembert for Plagg, Hibiscus for Nooroo, etc.). But once your character grows up mentally and physically through story milestones, you unlock Adult Powers, which completely removes the timer.
  7. Good vs Evil Weapon Morphs
  8. The weapons are the classic ones from the show, but they change depending on your intent and actions. For example, if you play as a hero with the Ladybug Yo-Yo, it works normally as a shield, grapple, or swinging tool. But if you choose to go down an evil path, the Yo-Yo morphs to have hidden blades inside. It does way more damage and lets you dig the blades directly into walls for aggressive traversal instead of needing to wrap around stuff.

I really wanted to create something that lets us rewrite the mistakes of the show and have total freedom.

Let me know what you guys think or if you have any questions about how this would work!
