How are the cold front hard difficulty missions so hard...

In noobs in combat all the main level missions are easy... I go on coldfront and do the operation silver or whatever its called, and I get lobotmised by a dozen IFVs, a dozen commandos and more... Does anyone have any tips or are the campaigns just leagues more difficult
