Hong was our worst candidate and she still came within 3,000 votes
Don't be discouraged today. I honestly suspect Francesca Hong might be relieved by this result, she didn't seem like she had any idea how to handle being the frontrunner in a statewide race, she got valuable experience and massive exposure, not just statewide but nationwide. She's the only real loss DSA candidates have had this cycle and it was an extremely narrow one. Like Hasan said last night, she was the icing on the cake.
Let them celebrate their victory. If they get nasty about it, feel free to remind them that 300,000 people in Wisconsin just voted for a socialist. This was UNFATHOMABLE 10 years ago. I'm sorry she lost, but she'll be a better candidate next time around, and she'll have name recognition. She's young, she'll be back. You can't win em all, but if you're gonna take an L, the way to do it is by less than .5% in a Midwestern state with a wildly unprepared young candidate.
We're coming and they cannot possibly deny it anymore. Don't look at this as a loss, look at all the ways that it's a WIN.
