Okayy so I am 73% in Alchemised and I have developed quite a hate-love relationship with it. At some points and for straight 50 pages in between, I love it but then again when the plot slows down and reverses back, it feels so slow and dragged.

I was loving it so far and finished 100 pages at a time but as I reached the 700th page, I again slowed down because it felt like the same event was happening in repeated cycles just with slightly different outputs and results. The realizations and epiphanies never set in, the emotions and consequences never set in because it goes back over and over again. It's the same cycle repeated through.

It's frustrating at this point because even my reactions to this book are going in a loop. I love it and I hate it when it slows down, but I love it again when it picks up and something actually plot focused happens.

I am going to get through the other 27% because I gave crazy money for the paperback but I just wanted to express my frustration anyway.
