Title: Looking for anime set in a small town/village/island with horror + mystery vibes

I'm looking for anime that are set in a small town, rural village, or isolated island rather than a big city.

I'm especially looking for a combination of horror, supernatural elements, thriller, mystery, school or teenage characters, and a dark or creepy mystery that slowly unfolds. Some emotional or romance elements would also be a bonus.

I prefer something relatively short, around 12–25 episodes.

Some anime that have the kind of vibe I'm looking for are Summer Time Rendering, Shiki, and Your Name, mainly for the small-town atmosphere and emotional feeling.

I'm looking for something with that isolated, mysterious, slightly eerie small-town feeling, where you gradually discover that something is wrong with the place or its people.

What anime would you recommend?
