These images highlight impressive technical details for Sauce Zhan’s 18 oz. raw selvedge, showing remarkable construction quality for the price.

Here is an analysis of what stands out in the provided details:

1. Loom Work & Twill Direction

Twill Clarity: The 3x1 right-hand twill shows exceptionally crisp, steep diagonal angles with clean, defined valleys.

Uniformity & Weight: For an 18 oz. fabric, the weave density is remarkably tight and consistent across the field, with no obvious tension fluctuations or slub irregularities breaking the plane.

2. Dye & Thread Interaction

Indigo Depth: The deep indigo saturation of the warp creates a bold contrast against the exposed weft.

Weft Peek: The fly construction reveals indigo-dipped, heavily oversaturated, in the structural backdrop, band confirms thorough rope-dyeing.

3. Construction & Sewing

Stitch Tension & Gauge: The both the gold and yellow stitching exhibit superb tension control. The needle punch holes along the waistband, fly curve, and leather patch perimeter are clean with zero thread wobble or skipped stitches—a massive achievement on thick þþtþ18 oz. fabric.

Bar-Tacking: The dense gold bar-tack reinforcement at the base of the fly (near the YKK zipper bottom) is tight, even, and cleanly anchored without chewing up the surrounding fabric.

Leather Patch: A thick, veg-tan leathert patch has crisp debossing. It features Sauce Zhan's two man tug, cleanly topstitched into the waistband.a
