Passport and Name Change

Hello all-my current passport is expired. We plan on taking an international honeymoon right after our wedding which is April 2027. Should I just get my passport renewed now with my current name or should we get married civilly before our actual ceremony so we can do the name changes well before our our catholic ceremony and honeymoon? What other options do I have?

I also want to avoid getting my passport now with my current name but then having to change it again a few months later after we get married.
