Could Adrienette’s breakup parallel Chat Blanc?

 The last scene of *Nemesis* has been stuck in my head, especially because of the rain. One of Marinette’s first moments of falling for Adrien happened in the rain, and now we have Marinette sitting alone in the rain after being unable to tell him the truth. It also immediately reminded me of *Chat Blanc*, where Marinette was forced to break up with Adrien because of Gabriel.

If Marinette ends up breaking up with Adrien again without being able to explain why, I can see this affecting Adrien **really badly**. He’s genuinely in love with her now, and he’s already seen the letter. He might have no idea why she suddenly wants to end things.

And then there’s Thomas Astruc’s comment at Ludicomix 2026, Italy.He said he doesn’t think we’ll see Chat Blanc again *exactly as he was*, but something similar could appear in another form. Obviously that doesn't confirm anything, but it does make me wonder if we could get some kind of “Chat Blanc-like” storyline from Adrien’s side, like a rogue Adrien/Chat Noir.

Personally, I actually **want Adrienette to temporarily break up**. Their relationship has been portrayed almost like a fairy tale, so I think letting them face a real relationship crisis could be interesting.

But PLEASE don't give them new love interests just to break them up. We already did that with Luka. I’d rather have them both remain single and deal with the breakup. If the writers really want to do some fan service, I wouldn't even mind some temporary Marichat, although we can count on Glaciator not to let that happen permanently.

I want to know fandom opinion too, especially those who want them to break up premenantly, I think the main reason they put is Marinette keeping secrets, but in my opinion if they reunited after break up, Marinette wouldn't keep other secrets from Adrien except Ladybugs'.

1. If you want Adrienette to permanently break up, why?

2. If you want a temporary breakup, how long should it last?

3. Would you want either of them to have another love interest, or should they stay single? 

4. And would you actually want to see an Adrien/Chat Blanc-like storyline come out of it?
