**Is 61–62°C normal for an HP EliteBook 845 G8 during light use?**

Hi everyone, I recently got an **HP EliteBook 845 G8** and I'm a little concerned about its temperatures.

During normal use, it mostly stays around **61–62°C**, with CPU usage usually below **20%** and the GPU around **2–7%** (about 512 MB VRAM usage).

I also ran a **10-minute Cinebench test**, and it completed successfully without the temperatures going into what I would consider an abnormal range.

The reason I'm a bit concerned is that the laptop feels **warm to my hands for most of the day**, even when I'm not doing anything particularly demanding. My previous laptop was a **5th-gen machine with a plastic body**, so I'm wondering if I'm simply noticing the heat more because the 845 G8's chassis transfers heat differently.

One other thing that made me wonder: when I brought the laptop to the shop to get it wrapped, the shopkeeper said something like **"the laptop wasn't on"**, although I had been using it before bringing it there. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the temperatures, but it made me a little more cautious.

I've attached a Task Manager screenshot as well.

**Are 61–62°C temperatures normal for this kind of light usage on the 845 G8, or should I investigate further?**

Is my HP EliteBook 845 G8 running at normal temperatures?
