M21 can anybody help me find out if my straight friend is actually gay?

He is in my fraternity and he’s really weird around girls that want to hook up with him. I have a growing suspicion he’s actually gay but won’t tell anyone. I’m bi and I kind of want to get with him but I’m not out and I’m worried that if I make a move and he’s not gay it would be weird.
