HPNLU Shimla vs DBRANLU Sonepat

I’m really torn between HPNLU Shimla and DBRANLU Sonepat and would love opinions from current students/alumni.

HPNLU Shimla — Pros:

• Better ranking/reputation
• More established + more graduating batches
• Stronger alumni base
• Faculty seems okay

Cons:

• Everything is SO far away + no Zomato 😭
• Don’t really vibe with a lot of people here
• Hostels are pretty mid
• Location may make internships harder

DBRANLU Sonepat — Pros:

• Campus seems much better
• Better access to Delhi/NCR → potentially better internship opportunities
• Newer university with fewer graduating batches
• I feel like I might fit better with the student culture

Cons:

• I don’t really want to live close to home
• Less established + weaker alumni network
• Unsure how residential it actually is
• Less proven track record

Basically, HPNLU has the stronger established reputation, while Sonepat seems like it could offer a better overall college experience + internship access.

If you’ve studied at either, what would you choose in my position and why? Especially interested in internship/placement opportunities, student life, residential life and whether HPNLU’s location is actually a disadvantage.
