Here's some context:

I've owned quite a few ink pens in the sub 1k inr range but most of them have been abused over the years at school and have been dropped a few times and either don't work(spacing between nib tines are off), have loose caps or write scratchy. I've owned a lamy safari(m) and a pilot cavalier(f) but the caps of both have gotten loose after about 6 months of almost daily use and now have become unusable😭

Seeing a lamy safari lookalike at a store, i decided to treat myself to this lol(along with some black quink)

The review:

I've been using this for about 2 days now and ngl I've been liking it much more than I anticipated. The nib says ef but writes somewhere in between a pilot F and the lamy F. The nib is surprisingly smooth considering how fine it is. The ink flow is almost perfect, wet but not to the point where it bleeds through any classmate/urban edge notebooks I've used so far.

It comes with a twist converter(very similar to the lamy z28) too which is smooth and works just fine.

The overall build quality is nothing to write home about but it's alright and has no major defects.

This is by far one of if not the best ink pen I've used in the sub 500 rupees range(except maybe the pilot varsity/vpen but that's very hard to find in a fine nib(mines m) here in stores and also hard to refill).

Sure I haven't used a preppy yet but still, compared to anything easily available in stationary stores here in South India, it's a steal. It makes stuff like the parker vector or Camlin elegante look like an absolute scam.

Bottom line is, if you see one of these at a store, just buy one, don't even think twice.

Got myself a CHREN offbrand safari for 90INR(1usd)
