There is something rattling in the back but I can't find anything loose.

I have taken the trunk/hatch apart as much as I can without actually unbolting parts and I cannot figure out what would possibly be rattling. It sounds like there is a pin or bolt handing inside either the hatch or one of the wheel wells. I've tried to record the sound but the road noise is too loud.

I have some difficulty recreating the scenario that causes the rattle too. It seems to happen the most when I'm braking or accelerating. As if the loose piece is moving forward and backward instead of left to right or up and down.

I know this is a huge stab in the dark, but I thought maybe someone else has had this issue.

I have ruled out:

• the two covers inside the hatch
• both "wells" behind the removable pieces inside the hatch on the sides
• nothing loose in the tracks on the floor thing.
• license plate is snug, doesn't rattle
• the trunk/hatch is empty.
  • rattle does occur when it's empty and when I have cases of water or boxes in it
