Monkeys and Brindavan/Mathura

I am planning to visit Brindavan and Mathura for a day in Sept. My son is super scared of Monkeys and he wears spectacles. How real is the Monkey problem in Brindavan? Is it the same in Mathura? I have seem Vidoes of Monkeys snatching specs and running away.
