Sudden tightness with sex?

Can hormone changes affect how tight you are? My bf and I have been having sex more often recently. I went away for two weeks and when we came back sex hurt again. We’ve tried adding more lube, doing more foreplay, and even new positions.

I know hormone changes have happened because I stopped getting my periods. But I just don’t know why I’m suddenly feeling more delicate down there.
