Tourist visa for Pakistan

Hi, I am an Afghan born UK citizen hoping to visit Pakistan for a few weeks in December. I have Pakistani friends who can provide me with a letter of invitation.

Has anyone in similar situation been able to obtain a tourist visa recently? If so, could you briefly clue me in regarding the process and time frame. TIA
