I tried to block out all the criticism when I watched it, giving it a chance and going in with a fresh mind and a blank slate...but even that didn't help.

Netflix says it contains "crude humour" but that's only half correct. It's just straight up crude. The dialogue is just obnoxious, immature and quite frankly nausea inducing, the amount of shit, piss, anus etc. themed "jokes" are so tiresome and basically no different from what a 7 year old would find funny.

But the main problem with it for me is it's blatant laziness. The audio mixing is terrible, you can hear the acoustics of the vocal booth from the get go. The story is horribly uninteresting and scenes go absolutely nowhere. It's like it's either really bad improv or a the script was taken from a first draft.

If you like it, no judgement, honestly. I'd even go as far to say it's not as bad as everyone says it is. But after watching it myself there's absolutely no way I can disagree with the visceral backlash it's recieved. Not because it's not funny, not because it's unnecessarily vulgar, but because it's fucking lazy and half-arsed.

That's the biggest insult you can recieve from a supposed comedic genius.
