31 [M4F] #New York City - Looking for Someone Nearby with Similar Interests
Just as a note, PLEASE READ my post before messaging, thank you.
Hello there, and thanks for stopping by! I'd love to meet someone local to chat with regularly, get to know online first, and eventually hang out with in person. Whether that's exploring the city, visiting museums, catching a movie, playing games online, or just having someone to talk to while out on a walk, that's what I'm hoping to find.
I'm based in Manhattan and spend a lot of time around the Upper West Side, Central Park, and Riverside Park, though I'm always happy to explore other parts of the city.
Some of my interests include video games (platformers, action, RPGs, MMOs, horror, and more), anime, movies, music, art, books, and LEGO. I'm mostly a homebody, but I enjoy getting out for walks, bookstores, museums, and the occasional adventure around NYC.
I've also been reading more lately, especially science fiction, classics, nonfiction, and young adult novels. I'm slowly building a library and always enjoy browsing bookstores. I'm also a fan of '90s and 2000s cartoons, Toonami, shonen anime, and I'd like to get back into drawing landscapes.
I'd love to hear about you as well. Tell me about your hobbies, interests, favorite places around the city, or what you enjoy doing at home. If you're into gaming, anime, art, science, museums, music, cosplay, board games, movies, or anything adjacent, we'll probably have plenty to talk about. I especially enjoy visiting the American Museum of Natural History and The Met.
Ideally:
You're somewhere in or around Manhattan (especially the Upper West Side), though I'm flexible. You're around 24–38. You're into games, movies, anime, cartoons, board games, or other "nerdy" hobbies. You enjoy both staying in and occasionally going for walks or exploring the city. You appreciate late '80s through 2000s pop culture. Any background or career is fine—just looking for someone who's kind and has things they're passionate about. My main goal is to meet someone local for a genuine friendship that starts online and hopefully turns into hanging out in person. If something develops naturally beyond that, I'm open to it, but that's not my expectation going in.
If you decide to message, I'd really appreciate more than just "hi" or "hey." Tell me a little about yourself, what caught your attention, or what you'd like to do around the city. Looking forward to hearing from you!
